BIOL 355 - Introduction to Marine Biology 4 Credit Hours This course is taught in the spring semester at the Shedd Aquarium and has a required week of field experience in May on the Shedd’s research vessel in the Bahamas. Acceptance into this course is competitive and requires formal application by late November of the preceding semester. There is a required laboratory fee for student use of the research vessel. The course covers basic principles and processes of biology as they apply to life in the sea. Contact the biology faculty for information and applications. Lecture and laboratory
