BWS 154 - Racism: The Foundation of American Education System and Economy 3 Credit Hours This course provides an analysis of Black educational experience as it pertains to the Black community and Racial Capitalism. This course will inspect institutional barriers such as poverty, which have affected the black education experience throughout Slavery, Jim Crow, and the Civil Rights to current day. Students will engage in research, explore desegregation of schools, and focused institutional racism framework. Students will participate in critical thoughts, discussions, and research assignments.
