ITAL 312 - To Hell and Beyond: Dante’s Other World 3 Credit Hours
Students in this course will read selections of Dante’s Divine Comedy, a poem that records the author’s passage through the realms of the afterlife in his search for identity. The horror and beauty of the other world will come alive through text and image as we come face-to-face with the living and the dead, humans and beasts, saints and sinners, angels and devils. Through close reading of the text, students will follow Dante in his navigation from hell to heaven as he designs a journey of self-discovery.This course is conducted in English.
