ITAL 286 - Italian-American Short Stories

1.5 Credit Hours
An exploration of the Italian-American short story. We will read stories by writers such as John Fante, Tony Ardizzone and Helen Barolini. We will study how Italian and American cultures are expressed through the stories.  Course taught in English.This course will not fulfill Barbantini Family Scholarship course requirements.

Prerequisite(s): 15 college credit hours or consent of instructor. 

This course will satisfy the core area requirement in literature if taken with another 1.5 credit course.
