1.5Credit HoursAn exploration of The Prince and The Mandragola. These two seminal works by Machiavelli helped shape Renaissance literature and continue to be relevant today. We will discuss how a treatise and a comedy connect to Florentine politics and society. Course taught in English. This course will not fulfill Barbantini Family Scholarship course requirements.
Prerequisite(s): 15 college credit hours or consent of instructor.
This course will satisfy the core area requirement in literature if taken with another 1.5 credit course.
