MGMT 601 - Business Gateway Practicum

The Gateway offers a comprehensive introduction to the Brennan approach to leadership. It consists of three major components - the How, the Why, and the Fundamentals of Business. The How is engaged by solving a current business problem for our real-world client in an intense team experience on a Thursday and Friday. The Why is engaged by exploring the Mission of Dominican University, along with our organizational and personal values, during a Saturday retreat. The Why is the compass heading of ethical business leaders guiding their How. And, the Fundamentals of decision-making, conflict-resolution, and cross-cultural negotiation are explored through the lens of DU’s core values - Caritas and Veritas during our regular Thursday evening sessions.

Prerequisite(s): Completion of all MBA foundation courses and permission of the Director of Graduate Programs.
