ENGL 101 - Composition I: Writing as Discovery and Action 3 Credit Hours Writing is a way of discovering and shaping our world, as well as a way of acting in the world. Through a variety of interrelated reading and writing assignments, with an emphasis on essays and other short forms, students in this course will explore how to use writing to learn, to create, and to act, particularly in the university but also in the world outside the university. May not be taken on a Satisfactory/Fail basis; a student must receive a grade of C- or higher to advance to the ENGL 102 .
Prerequisite(s): ENGL 100 or placement through examination.
