MAYL 810 - Book Reviewing and Publishing for Children and Young Adults The goal of this course is to provide graduate library school students with a grounded understanding of the review criteria for various genres of literature for youth; to develop the critical skills necessary for effective reviewing; to gain the expertise required for professional reviewing through practical application; to develop an understanding of the major review journals used for collection development in school and public libraries; and to gain an understanding of the importance of reviewing as a tool for continuing education and professional development.
