SWK 657 - Master Thesis 3 Credit Hours This is a master thesis course resulting in a substantive paper that involves original research and scholarship. The final product of a master’s research project is a thesis or a paper of publishable quality. This course includes the stages of defining a research topic and formulating a problem statement, selecting and reviewing relevant literature and developing a research methodology. At the end of this course, the student is expected to produce a research proposal with a comprehensive literature review, identify a specific research focus, and describe data collection procedures of the study. Following a successful thesis hearing, the student is expected to submit an IRB application. Please contact your advisor to consider this option.
Prerequisite(s): SWK 512 or advanced standing.
