LAS 107 - Living our Best Lives 3 Credit Hours At the heart of the examined life is a question posed by a great philosopher: How must we live if we are not to end up with a life we ultimately regret? Or put positively, What is the best way of life and how should we live if we are going to achieve it? While these questions have long been the focus of philosophers, theologians, writers, and artists, they challenge each of us to reflect deeply upon who we are, how we’ve become the person we are today, how we will live in the world in which we find ourselves, and what stands in the way of living our best lives. In this seminar, students will explore how others have grappled with these questions and what they can learn from these experiences. Through discussions, reflections, and creative activities, students will explore these same questions in relationship to their own lives.
