NURS 314 - Adult Nursing 1 3 Credit Hours Focuses on holistic care of adults, older adults, and their families in acute medical-surgical settings as they adapt to changes in the health/illness spectrum. Students integrate theoretical concepts with the best nursing evidence within the framework of critical thinking and caring to foster growth in knowledge and competencies. Professional roles of the nurse, critical thinking, and ethical issues are explored as students provide safe and quality care. Successful completion is a grade of C or higher in lecture. Both NURS 214 and NURS 314 must be successfully completed in the same semester in order to address program competencies.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the program. Concurrent enrollment in NURS 214 .
