SWG 381 - Transnational Feminist Theories 3 Credit Hours The purpose of this course is to examine the changing roles, statuses, opportunities, and options of women/femmes/transgender living in developing countries in the Global South. The different ways social institutions such as gender, race/ ethnicity, class, sexuality, religion, culture and age shape the lives of women/femmes/transgender around the world will be explored. Students will search for similarities and differences among and between diverse communities of women and between themselves.
