SWG 350 - Medieval Women and Gender

3 Credit Hours
The purpose of this course is to examine the changing roles, statuses, opportunities, and options of women/femmes/transgender living in developing countries in the Global South. The different ways social institutions such as gender, race/ ethnicity, class, sexuality, religion, culture and age shape the lives of women/femmes/transgender around the world will be explored. Students will search for similarities and differences among and between diverse communities of women and between themselves.

This course will satisfy the core area requirement in multicultural studies.
