POSC 150 - Comparative Politics 3 Credit Hours This course provides an introduction to the field of comparative politics. In particular, this course focuses on the comparative study of the politics and governments of countries around the world. This course will introduce students to different political systems and their related political institutions and processes, this will include topics such as democracy, authoritarianism, political culture, economic development, nations and society, political violence, and much more. Countries such as France, Germany, India, Russia, China, and others are often examined in detail. May not be completed for credit by students who previously earned credit in POSC 250.
This course will satisfy the core area requirement in social sciences.
