ARTH 296 - Exploring African, Asian, Middle Eastern, and Indigenous Art 3 Credit Hours Designed to introduce students to the history of art and architecture of major societies beyond the Western tradition, the course focuses on how the subjects, styles, and techniques of these art forms reflect the diverse social customs and beliefs of African, Asian, Middle Eastern, and indigenous cultures. Exploring issues of globalization and cross-cultural exchange also broadens comprehension of the human achievements celebrated in these parts of the world.
