SOC 203 - Race and Ethnic Relations in the U.S. 3 Credit Hours An examination of the experiences of various racial and ethnic groups in the United States. This course will focus on macro-and micro-level theories that explain the patterned experiences of these groups. Emphasis will be placed on 1) a critical race perspective; 2) knowledge of the history of racial and ethnic groups in the United States; 3) how individual perceptions and interactions across racial, ethnic differences are related to structural patterns.

This course will satisfy the core requirement in multicultural studies.
