SOC 280 - Discrimination and Society 3 Credit Hours This course examines the causes and effects of discrimination, for several social identities, in U. S. society. Specifically, we will learn how discrimination is 1) socially constructed, 2) maintained by social structures, and 3) experienced in everyday life.

This course will satisfy the core area requirement in social sciences.
