ART 210 - Beginning Black-and-White Photography Credit Hours 3 This course provides a comprehensive introduction to black-and-white darkroom photography. Technical fundamentals will be emphasized in class demonstrations, assignments, and critiques. The course places importance on visual literacy, by articulating the mediated image and its effect on the conduct of our lives. Camera assignments extend sensory experiences and their capacity to be perceived graphically. 35mm SLR cameras are available for check-out for enrolled students. Offered every fall and spring. Course fee applies.
This course will satisfy the core area requirement in fine arts.
