BWS 212 - Caribbean Dialectology 3 hours This course examines the socio-historical background and development of Caribbean languages, and their dialects as well as descriptions and analyses of contemporary Caribbean language structures. Theories such as the Caribbean continuum will be considered. Students will examine indigenous, creole, and immigrant languages. A variety of primary sources will be examined and analyzed.
