HIST 144 - History of the American People From 1877



At the end of Reconstruction, a new America emerged, marked by rapid expansion, industrial growth, and technological change. In the 20th century, America became a world power. Four wars, a major depression, and incredible scientific, technological, and industrial development altered the economic, social, political, and intellectual life of Americans in the second half of the twentieth century. (3 hours)
