Data Science- B.S.

The Data Science major at Dominican University equips students with the ability to analyze data to uncover patterns, correlations, and other insights that help organizations of all kinds improve their processes, products, and services.  The major combines a core set of courses in Computer Science that give students the ability to create software to work with data and a core set of Mathematics courses that provide students the knowledge to perform statistical analyses of data and build and assess models based on data.  Students will not only be proficient in the technical aspects of data science but will also learn how to ethically and responsibly manage data and use it to make informed decisions. Coupled with Dominican’s comprehensive liberal arts program, the major provides students with the knowledge and critical thinking skills required to succeed in today’s data driven world.

Additional Requirement:


A minimum of four required courses in mathematics and four required courses in computer science at the 200 level or above must be completed at Dominican.
