The graduate business certificate is a highly flexible certificate earned in as little as one semester, yielding a deeper understanding and practical skills in a specialized business area. Six credit hours are required to complete the Graduate Business Certificate.

Students may earn a Graduate Business Certificate for completing any of Brennan’s six-credit Core Modules:

  • Leadership & Ethics
  • Business Problem Solving, Negotiation & Strategy
  • Financial Decision Making
  • Markets & Consumers
  • Analytics & Operations

Students may also elect to pursue the graduate business certificate in the following areas. These can be earned by either completing one core course and one MBA elective course, or by completing two MBA elective courses.

  • Accounting
  • Data Analytics
  • Finance
  • Healthcare Administration
  • Leadership
  • Marketing

Finally, in consultation with Brennan’s Director of Graduate Programs, students may design a graduate business certificate in another area by completing at least six credit hours in two related courses.

Certificate students are responsible for notifying Brennan’s Director of Graduate Programs when they have registered for the final course necessary to complete the certificate.

Prior to admission, certificate students must have completed an undergraduate degree and the equivalent courses to meet the pre-requisites of any courses they will take in the graduate business certificate program.
