The mission of the fashion department is to provide students with an environment in which they can develop and nurture creativity, gain aesthetic, intellectual, and professional competence in both the knowledge and skills of the apparel field and cultivate a humanistic and ethical understanding of fashion as a business and as an art form.

The fashion program offers major and minor programs in fashion design and merchandising.

In collaboration with Kent State’s NYC Studio, fashion majors have the opportunity to study and complete an internship, for a semester or a summer session, in New York City.
