ITAL 283 - Michelangelo 1.5 Credit Hours
An exploration of Michelangelo’s poetry and letters. Michelangelo is known as a painter and sculptor- but is actually one of the most renowned poets of the Renaissance. We will read poems that serve as models for subsequent poets. We will also study letters that he exchanged with other writers and artists of the period. Course taught in English.This course will not fulfill Barbantini Family Scholarship course requirements.
Prerequisite(s): 15 college credit hours or consent of instructor.
This course will satisfy the core area requirement in literature if taken with another 1.5 credit course.
