POSC 276 - Introduction to Methodology in Political Science

3 Credit Hours
Designed for political science majors (minors are welcome), this course is an introduction to the discipline’s fields, writing expectations, and research methods. This is a required course for all degrees in the Department of Political Science and should be taken in the first two years at Dominican. The course will discuss what political scientists do in political philosophy, American politics, and international relations and how they do it. Basic statistics will be introduced as well as formulating research questions, collecting data, and writing in APSA style.
