SWK 724 - Policies Impacting Veterans and Active Duty Military

1.5 hours
This course will identify the history, impact, and development of ServiceMembers,Veterans and theirFamilies(SMVF) related policy on an international and national level. Students will critically analyze the impact of government policies and codes on military populations and processes. Students identify appropriate chain of command for advocacy and action on a micro and macro level of practice. National policies are reviewed for efficacy with vulnerable military populations (i.e. homelessness, substance abuse, disabled, LGBT, and women). This is an 4-week online course.
