LIS 777 - Issues of Access, Advocacy, and Policy in Youth Services 3 hours
Exploration of issues in library service to children and young adults, including access, with respect to collection leveling and classification, labeling, and intellectual freedom; advocacy, with respect to clarification and articulation, in writing and speech, of purpose and relevance; and policy, with respect to young peoples coming to, borrowing from and taking advantage of library materials, services and space. Offered in fall.
Prerequisite(s): LIS 701 and LIS 704
