LAS 381 - When I Consider How My Light is Spent
How we spend our time defines who we are and how rich our life experiences will be. The decisions we make help determine the quality of the lives we live. Through readings in poetry, drama, philosophy, and fiction, we will explore various examples of lives that succeed or fail in providing rich and rewarding experiences. Readings will include a Greek tragedy, a Platonic dialogue, biblical narratives, a John Milton sonnet, and one or two modern works of fiction. (3 hours)
