How have ideas of “women’s work” changed over time? Is women’s work different in different cultures? Does technological change alter women’s work and women’s leisure? What forces shape our ideas of the roles of men and women in society? In the workplace? In the family? This seminar uses cross-disciplinary readings to analyze and explore these questions. (3 hours)
