LAS 358 - Spiritual Landscapes
In this seminar we shall explore the relationship between what one does and what one is, taking us on a journey within and without ourselves. What does it mean to be a whole/holy person, someone whose inner life is articulated in how s/he works, plays, lives in the world? We shall look to literature and spirituality, including Moby Dick, the Scarlet Letter, poetry of T. S. Eliot, and other works. (3 hours)
This seminar will satisfy the literature core area requirement.
